New Laker Taurean Prince Reflects On Reunion With Former Minnesota Teammates

Full circle once again!

The Los Angeles Lakers made a number of very important moves this offseason such as locking up Anthony Davis to a massive extension, retaining both Austin Reaves and Rui Hachimura and also finally signing another big man in Christian Wood.

However, one name that hasn't gotten enough love since the beginning of the initial free agency period is Taurean Prince. Prince is one of the most experienced and valuable players that the Lakers landed this summer and he stands at 6'7 and is coming off of a season with the Minnesota Timberwolves where he shot 38 percent from deep and guarded multiple positions.

His game is not the flashiest but he makes winning plays and when the postseason rolls around and other players aren't used to the matchup changes and new game plans, someone with his motor and basketball IQ certainly comes in handy.

Before the 2023 trade deadline that saw both Jarred Vanderbilt and D'Angelo Russell get sent to the purple and gold, Prince shared the floor with both of them in Minnesota and spoke on why he enjoys who they are as players in a recent interview.

"I definitely love playing with both," said Prince. "The energy Vando gives you is obviously unmatched. And then DLo, his ability to pass the ball and catch people off guard and put you in a position to be successful is not easy for a point guard. I'm glad to be back with those guys and it feels like family already."

It's going to be amazing watching all three of these guys represent Los Angeles this season!
