After the final buzzer sounded on your Los Angeles' disappointing Western Conference Finals showing against the Denver Nuggets, the fate of this year's Western Conference MVP award (a relatively new NBA wrinkle) was hardly ever in doubt.

In a completely unsurprising move, the NBA awarded All-NBA Denver Nuggets center Nikola Jokic with its Western Conference Finals MVP for his insane playoff performance thus far, which arrives replete with, ironically, an award named the Magic Johnson Trophy.

Jokic netted the honor after laying waste to this year's incarnation of your Los Angeles Lakers. During a closeout Game 4 Monday, Big Honey nabbed 30 points while connecting on 11-of-24 shooting from the floor (3-of-6 from long range), 14 boards, 13 dimes and three blocks.

The 6'11" big man achieved all this despite being aptly defended by starting Los Angeles center Anthony Davis, reserve big man Rui Hachimura, occasionally LeBron James himself, and, yes, even deep-bench bigs Tristan Thompson and Wenyen Gabriel. Jokic averaged 27.8 points per game at 50.8% field goal shooting, 14.5 rebounds, and 11.8 assists a night.
