Hall of Fame Chicago Bulls small forward Scottie Pippen went on former Chicago teammate Stacey King's "Gimme The Hot Sauce" podcast to discuss their classic title teams recently, and as usual he found himself wading into the waters of an unwinnable-for-him debate.

Pippen's longtime teammate, Hall of Fame Chicago Bulls shooting guard Michael Jordan, is widely regarded as the best player of all time. Hall of Fame Los Angeles Lakers center Kareem Abdul-Jabbar, future Hall of Fame Los Angeles small forward LeBron James, and Hall of Fame center Bill Russell are the other players often floated in the all-time GOAT conversation.

During his chat with King, Pippen once again weighed in on whether James or Jordan was ultimately the better player. Without giving a definitive answer, he did seem to besmirch Jordan as a selfish scorer prior to Pippen's own arrival.

"LeBron will be the greatest statistical guy to ever play the game of basketball," Pippen said. "And there's no comparison to him, none. So does that make him the greatest player to ever player the game? I've seen Michael Jordan play before I came to play with the Bulls... He was horrible to play with. He was all one-on-one, he's shooting bad shots. And all of a sudden, we become a team and we start winning. Everybody forgot who he was."
