Lakers Veterans Teach Max Christie Secrets at the Blackjack Table
Your Los Angels Lakers seem to be taking the 2023 preseason as a time to build team chemistry as the squad had a charity casino night on Tuesday.
Veterans on the club are not only teaching the young players important lessons about basketball, they are also teaching them how to gamble.
During the casino night, a video was taken of Lebron James and Austin Reaves showing second-year player Max Christie how to play blackjack.
Christie is lucky that he was at a private event with the team, since he is not yet the legal age to gamble.
The 20-year old seemed to be successful at his first go at it in blackjack as he is seen collecting chips from the dealer.
James and Reaves are both well over the age of 21 and were also racking money on the blackjack table.
Seeing the relationship between the young players and the veterans getting better is going to be important for the Lakers this season.
James and Reaves will both be starting this season and expected to take up big minutes.
Despite not playing a lot in his rookie season, Christie is expected to get more minutes in the rotation this season as the team lost a couple guards during the offseason.
Knowing that the team gets together well, the Lakers could have enough team chemistry to take them towards a successful season in 2023-2024.
