In this story:

1. R.J. HAMPTON WAIVED

"In the past two months, Hampton has played just once for more than five minutes in a game. It came on Jan. 4 against the Oklahoma City Thunder, when the Magic were without several players due to suspension from the Moe Wagner-Killian Hayes fight against the Pistons on Dec. 28."

2. NEW DEAL FOR ADMIRAL SCHOFIELD

"He's been an unbelievable professional the entire time no matter whether he's playing or not playing," Mosley said after the Jan. 28 game. "His energy, his voice, his presence within our locker room. He's a young man that demands and commands respect and he works his tail off every single day."

3. 'THE MAGIC ARE COMING'

"Every player on the Orlando Magic main roster is 25 years old or younger except Gary Harris," The Athletic said. "The two best, [Banchero] and [Wagner], are 20 and 21 respectively. Orlando will likely have two lottery picks — it’s own and Chicago’s top-4 protected pick — to add to the stable, along with at least $20 million in cap room. The Magic are coming."

4. NATE MCMILLAN FIRED

The Atlanta Hawks are making a coaching change.

According to ESPN, the Hawks are firing coach Nate McMillan.

McMillan held a 29-30 record this season with the Hawks and a 99-80 mark across three seasons. Joe Prunty has been tabbed as the interim coach.

5. NEXT MAGIC GAME

The Magic will return to the court tomorrow night at home against the Detroit Pistons at 7:00 p.m. You can watch in-market on Bally Sports Florida or out-of-market on NBA League Pass.
