The Orlando Magic is making a little noise at the start of free agency.

According to Bleacher Report's Chris Haynes, unrestricted free agent Joe Ingles has signed with the Orlando Magic. The 35-year-old will be a solid forward and veteran presence for the Magic.

ESPN's Adrian Wojnarowski is reporting that Ingles will sign a two-year deal worth $22 million.

The Magic has a solid young core and have no direction to go other than up. After a successful first season with Paolo Banchero leading the team, the Magic could look to make the playoffs next season. Adding an older player that will be a calming presence will help the team take the step to the next level.

Ingles played the first eight seasons of his NBA career with the Utah Jazz before joining the Milwaukee Bucks before last season. Now, Ingles finds himself in a mentorship role with a younger team.

With playoff experience and elite floor spacing, Ingles provides a legit impact to a team that will need both of those qualities. Drafting Anthony Black, Ingles will not only provide floor spacing but will help develop Black's playmaking game.

Ingles is a career 40 percent shooter from beyond the arc, and averaged 12.1 points per game in his best scoring season. Peaking at 5.7 assists per game, the numbers don't show Ingles' passing abilities. He can be a connector for a team that will need to spread the wealth when it comes to getting shots up.

Though the terms of the deal have yet to be reported, the Magic are able to overspend on Ingles because they are flexible when it comes to cap space, and they're not going to directly sign a star with their money as they continue and develop young talent in Orlando.
