Magic PG Cole Anthony Praises 'Talented Group' After Win vs. Bulls

The Orlando Magic takes a lot of pride in its defense, especially down the stretch when the game is on the line.

In the Orlando Magic's last game against the Chicago Bulls, the team was able to come back from double-digits, and it came as a result of its great defense late in the game.

The team was down 11 with less than two minutes left in the third quarter, and it was still able to pull it out in overtime. Point guard Cole Anthony talked about how much pride the Magic takes in its clutch defense in his postgame interview.

"We have such a talented group, and we just have such a will on that defensive end that you just want to guard and not let that person in front of us, you know, score or whatever it is; make a play," Anthony said. "It’s just such a pride on that defensive end, and I think that really showed down the stretch tonight."

The Magic scored 13 points in overtime, while only allowing the Bulls to score seven, as the team stepped up and played its best defense of the game when it really mattered.

The team is top five in the NBA in points allowed, as its defense has been great all year. And if the team's offense can catch up to its defense, the Magic could be poised to make some noise in the second half of the season.

The Magic will be back in action on Tuesday against Shai Gilgeous-Alexander and the Oklahoma City Thunder. Tipoff is set for 7:30 p.m. ET in the Kia Center.
