Orlando Magic SG Jalen Suggs 'Wants to Play 82'

Jalen Suggs has played the majority of games in his first two seasons, but this season the Magic guard wants more than just majority.

Through the first two seasons of his very young career, Jalen Suggs has played in a total of 101 games out of a possible 164. Although this is over 60 percent, Suggs has still had experience with injuries.

Last offseason, Suggs underwent surgery on his right ankle to address a stress fracture. As a result of this, the Orlando Magic made an attempt to ease Suggs back into action, causing him to miss a fair share of games, but this may have been the right decision.

Suggs has been lucky compared to other players, as he has not had any season-ending injuries and has played over 60 percent of possible games so far in his career. But this season, Suggs wants to play more than just 60 percent of games.

"I think I'll be staying on top of my recovery, my treatment," Suggs said. "I want to play 82. I've really been taking pride in it and trying to do my best to take care of my body."

Suggs seems to be healthier than ever, as he has spoken very highly of the offseason that he has had. He claims that he is not only physically healthy, but also mentally healthy, and that can play a huge role in being on the court consistently, as a fulll-length NBA season can wear down on a player.

Suggs will begin on his journey to play all 82 games of the season on Wednesday against the Houston Rockets in the Magic's first game of the season. Tipoff is scheduled for 7 p.m. in the Amway Center.
