Orlando Magic 'Learning How to Win', Says Paolo Banchero

With the Orlando Magic's win on Wednesday, the team is now over .500 on the season, and all the players are looking to take that momentum into the team's next couple of games.

The Orlando Magic won in very dramatic fashion against the Chicago Bulls on Wednesday, and the team has Paolo Banchero's heroics to thank for that.

The young forward hit a fadeaway mid-range jump shot with just over one second left over a great defender in Alex Caruso. This allowed the Magic to win the low-scoring affair 96-94.

Although the Magic would like to win without the level of anxiety that it did on Wednesday, the team is consistently winning to start the season.

"This tells us more that we already know about our team," Banchero said postgame. "Obviously we would like to save the dramatics at the end of the game, but a win is a win. We’re just learning how to win, that’s the motto right now, and we’re sitting at 6-5, and we have a chance to be 7-5 on Friday."

Through the Magic's first 11 games last season, the team only had two wins, as opposed to the six that it has through the same span this season. This is the result of head coach Jamahl Mosley keeping the same core group instead of switching the roster up this offseason. It allows the team to grow closer together and improve as a team instead of just as individuals.

The Magic will get its next chance to show how much it has improved with a quick rematch against the Bulls in NBA In-Season Tournament action. Tipoff is set for 8 p.m. ET from the United Center on Friday.
