Magic Suffer Loss vs. Warriors

The Magic suffered a loss to the Warriors in completive matchup between two teams with playoff aspirations.

The Orlando Magic lost at home against the Golden State Warriors by a score of 101-93 in what turned out to be a competitive game down the stretch.

Early on in this contest, the Warriors were dominant despite the absence of Draymond Green, who got ejected roughly three minutes into the game after continuing to argue a call with referees.

Orlando shot just 30.0 percent from the field in the first half, but a dunk from All-Star Paolo Banchero would provide home fans with hope that the team could turn things around in the second half.

At halftime, Golden State led 45-37, and the game’s leading scorer was Banchero, with just nine points, but things would get much more exciting in the second half.

Anyone who came to see the elite shooting of Warriors future Hall of Famer Stephen Curry would leave disappointed, as it wasn’t the stars on either team that made the game exciting. Instead, Andrew Wiggins and Cole Anthony provided the bulk of the scoring in this game.

Wiggins would lead Golden State with 23 points, 13 of which came in the fourth quarter. On the other hand, Anthony would finish as the game’s leading scorer with 27 points, at one point willing the team to a one-point game in the fourth quarter. However, Curry closed the game with a dagger three with 33.8 seconds left to ice the game away as he taunted with a good night gesture.

Looking toward the future, the Magic must improve on the boards in the team’s next contest after being out-rebounded 52-39 against the Warriors. The Los Angeles Clippers are up next for the Magic this Friday.
