Magic PG Cole Anthony: 'The Hype Will Come'

The Orlando Magic has surprised a lot of people this season, so the team has not gotten as much recognition as it deserves.

The Orlando Magic is currently in the playoff picture, which as lot of people did not expect coming into this season.

The team already has more wins than it finished with last season, so it has not gotten as much recognition from the media as it probably deserves. Guard Cole Anthony talked about being the underdog in his postgame interview after the Magic's most recent win against the Charlotte Hornets.

"It is what it is," Anthony said. "Paolo (Banchero) finally has recognition and was an All-Star, that was super well deserved. People are starting to slowly but surely catch on. There's some good teams in this league, and we're trying to build our way up into those ranks, and I think we're well on our way. The hype will come, we just gotta keep doing what we gotta do."

The Magic has won four games in a row, and is now tied with the New York Knicks for fourth place in the Eastern Conference. Now that the team is creeping its way up in the standings, more and more people will begin to talk about the Magic being a threat.

If the team can keep it up and put together a push in this final stage of the regular season, then it could be in prime position to go into the playoffs with some momentum.

The Magic will be back in action lookin for its fifth straight win tonight against the Washington Wizards. Tipoff is set for 7 p.m. ET from Capital One Arena
