Magic vs. Spurs: 3 Big Things to Watch

The Orlando Magic (28-40) kickoff a four-game road trip Tuesday night against the San Antonio Spurs (17-50).

ORLANDO - Following a disappointing four-game homestand, the Orlando Magic hit the road to take on the San Antonio Spurs on Tuesday.

Posting a 1-3 mark over the past six days, the Magic have a chance to turn it around against one of the Western Conference's worst teams.

The Spurs also look to bounce back following Sunday's home loss against the Oklahoma City Thunder

Here are three big things in this interconference showdown...

Magic Defense Bounce Back?

One of the biggest let downs during Orlando's four-game homestand was its inability to lockdown defensively - allowing 114 points or more in each contest.

Luckily for a team that emphasizes it's prowess on that end of the floor, they will be facing off against the league's worst offense.

Posting the NBA's lowest offense rating (109.9), San Antonio's 90 points in Sunday's loss was its lowest total all season.

Let Cole Cook?

In the two team's last matchup back in December, Magic guard Cole Anthony led all scorers with a game-high 23 points on 8 of 10 shooting and a perfect 4 of 4 from long range.

Along with his masterpiece scoring the basketball, Anthony was one assist away from his first career triple-double - finishing with ten rebounds and nine assists.

Anthony could be due for another big performance, averaging over 15 points in the month of March while shooting 49.3 percent from the field and 45 percent from three.

Devin Vassell Healthy Again

Since snapping a franchise-worst 16-game losing streak on February 25th, the Spurs have posted a respectable 3-3 mark over that span.

Including wins over the West-leading Denver Nuggets, along with playoff hopeful Indiana Pacers and Utah Jazz.

With health being a big reason behind this.

Ranking among the top-ten in most injured teams this season, San Antonio recently got back services from talented wing Devin Vassell who has played just 33 games this season due to knee surgery.

Vassell has averaged 18.6 points, 3.8 rebounds and 3.5 assists in 31 minutes per game.

Tipoff is scheduled for 8:00 p.m.
