Magic Ex Terrence Ross Remains Free Agent; Signing Soon?

In 349 games suiting up for the Orlando Magic, Terrence Ross averaged 12.7 games while shooting 35.1 percent from three-point range.

Former Orlando Magic guard Terrence Ross will never be on the Mount Rushmore of players in franchise history, but is still a key piece to this team's current trajectory.

After being traded to Orlando as a part of the Serge Ibaka deal in 2017, it was easy to see why Ross coined the nickname "The Human Torch."

Over 349 career games for the Magic, Ross posted 12.7 points while drilling over 35 percent of his attempts from downtown and ranking sixth on the franchises all-time three pointers made list.

However, after no shortage of ups and downs over seven seasons, Ross and the front office agreed to a buyout in February before he eventually signed with the Phoenix Suns

"Ross is one of two notable ex-Suns wings still on the market," Yahoo! Sports writes. "The 32-year-old joined Phoenix midseason after being bought out by the Magic in February. In 21 games with the Suns, Ross averaged 9.0 points in 18.4 minutes per game off the bench. Ross, a career 36.2% 3-point shooter, shot 36.8% from deep on 4.1 attempts per game last season."

As a proven knockdown shooter throughout his career, the 11-year NBA veteran's services could be used among several teams. On top of his ability to be a spark off the bench, Ross undoubtedly played a key role leadership wise in Orlando posting the league's third-best win improvement a season ago.

And while a reunion with the Magic is unlikely due to an already crowded rotation, Ross should be suiting up for a team this upcoming season.
