"I heard a pop!''

The Los Angeles Lakers are battling the Dallas Mavericks on Sunday after after a big deficit - the Lakers trailed by as much as 27 points in the first half - have battled back ...

And LeBron James is battling through a foot injury sustained in the game

Unfortunately for Dallas and its big lead, LeBron appears to be OK.

Going in to the game, there were injury issues as well ...

As exciting as Sunday's star-studded matchup between the Dallas Mavericks and the Los Angeles Lakers should be, there have been some key names pop up on the injury reports less than 24 hours away from tip-off.

On the Mavs' official injury report, there are no surprises. Dāvis Bertans (left calf strain) and Maxi Kleber (right hamstring tear) remain out for Dallas. Luka Doncic, Kyrie Irving and the rest of the crew are fully healthy and ready to put on a show.

Kleber, who will miss his 35th consecutive game on Sunday, initially thought he'd be back in action immediately after the All-Star break, but that appears to have been wishful thinking on his part. However, there's still a chance Kleber could return during Dallas' six-game homestand. His eventual return will be a sight for sore eyes when it comes to the Mavs' defense.

On the Lakers' official injury report, LeBron James (left foot soreness) and Anthony Davis (right foot stress injury) have both been listed as probable. Chances are, those two will be suiting up unless something else happens between now and tip-off. D'Angelo Russell, who the Lakers acquired from the Minnesota Timberwolves before the trade deadline, is doubtful with right ankle sprain.

The Mavs and Lakers tip-off at American Airlines Center at 2:30 p.m. CT, and the game will be nationally televised on ABC. Stay tuned to DallasBasketball.com for all updates leading up to the game and full game coverage throughout the weekend.
