Despite being down Karl-Anthony Towns and Rudy Gobert, the Minnesota Timberwolves put up an incredible fight vs. the Denver Nuggets on Tuesday night, and almost stole a win. Anthony Edwards had an incredible game, finishing with 30 points, 8 rebounds, and 8 assists, but it wasn't enough to take down the defending champions.

Following the game, Edwards spoke with the media, and was asked what the difference was for Minnesota between losing and winning this game. Edwards said he didn't feel there was any big difference, saying he just missed the shot for overtime.

"It was a great game," Edwards said. "... I missed the shot for overtime. It was a great game."

On how the Nuggets changed their defense on Edwards down the stretch, the star guard added, "They changed it up, they started blitzing me. I'm catching it, they're bringing one. So just having me get off the ball, make the right reads. I feel like I did that in the fourth. They did a great job making me get off, though."

This was a tough loss for Minnesota, but one they cannot be too upset about given the circumstances. Able to hang with the Nuggets down two huge pieces, Minnesota pushed Denver to the very end. Edwards was great, but couldn't get the game-tying shot to go down to force overtime.
