Lakers Player Makes Honest Denver Nuggets Admission
While several teams around the NBA have made solid moves this summer, the Denver Nuggets are still seen by many as the team to beat. Speaking recently with Mark Media of Sportskeeda, Los Angeles Lakers guard Gabe Vincent was honest in admitting that Denver is still the best team in the NBA until beaten.
"For any organization or team that is really concerned about winning a title, you have to talk about the team that just won," Vincent told Medina when asked about the Nuggets. "How can we beat them? They’re still the best team until they’re beaten. Until someone is crowned NBA champion, they’re the champions. It plays a role and something we’ll prepare for. Denver is still a very good team. They’re still the champions. There have been other moves around the league. But Denver plays a big role in that, especially now that I’m in the West and on the Lakers’ side. I’m going to see them four times instead of two. It definitely plays a role."
Vincent of course lost to Denver in the Finals as a member of the Miami Heat, but signed with the Lakers this offseason. Having seen the Nuggets up close, Vincent knows the challenges they present, and understands they are still the best team in the NBA until someone else knows them off the throne.
