Tennis Star Surprisingly Wears Nuggets Jersey at US Open

Frances Tiafoe is a big Kentavious Caldwell-Pope fan.

If there was one thing you weren't expecting to see this NBA off-season, it would be a Kentavious Caldwell-Pope jersey being worn by a tennis star during the US Open - something that actually amazingly happened.

Top-ranked tennis player Frances Tiafoe was seen wearing Kentavious Caldwell-Popes jersey while hitting tennis balls this week.

This actually isn't the first time Tiafoe showed love to Caldwell-Pope. After the Nuggets won the NBA Championship, Tiafoe gave a shoutout specifically to Caldwell-Pope on Instagram.

If there's one player who really showed his value during these NBA Playoffs, it was Kentavious Caldwell-Pope. Granted, every single Nuggets starter had an amazing redemption story these playoffs from Jokic to Murray to Gordon to Caldwell-Pope to Porter Jr. Jokic proved his two MVPs weren't a joke and that he's truly the best player in the NBA. Jamal Murray proved that he could still play like an All-Star despite having an ACL tear. Aaron Gordon proved that he's one of the most versatile players in the NBA and not just a failed dunk contest winner. Michael Porter Jr. proved that he wasn't just a shot chucker and that he's tremendously improved his discipline since then. Kentavious Caldwell-Pope proved his bubble championship wasn't a fluke, and that he's an elite defender and shooter that still deserves respect.

It's great to see any members of the Denver Nuggets get any love in other forms of sports culture. It shows that this small market team is actually penetrating and breaking the barrier to become something bigger.
