There's a common rumor around Nikola Jokic that he doesn't care about the game of basketball. Not only is that false, but Jokic cares about college basketball as well.

After the Denver Nuggets defeated the Cleveland Cavaliers on Sunday afternoon, Nikola Jokic unexpectedly brought up NC State big man D.J. Burns. It turns out, that Jokic is a massive fan of the young man.

"He's amazing," Jokic said about Burns. "I think he's so skilled, especially lefty. Seems like teammates like to play with him. That'd be a good guy."

For as much as people want to pretend that Nikola Jokic doesn't care about the game of basketball, the fact that he's watching college basketball says otherwise. One could see a lot of similarities between Burns and Jokic in the sense that they're not what the ideal athlete looks like. It's very easy to underestimate Burns but his craftiness in the post and in his game proves everyone wrong. It's easy to forget, but Nikola Jokic was drafted as the 41st pick in the second round. He wasn't a player that critics expected anything out of, especially because of his physical shape.

As the playoffs are quickly about to approach, the Denver Nuggets have found that switch again. Led by Nikola Jokic, the Nuggets are poised to make a very deep playoff run.
