Indiana Pacers All-Star guard Tyrese Haliburton available vs Cleveland Cavaliers

Haliburton was questionable with a stomach issue

Indiana Pacers All-Star point guard Tyrese Halyrese Haliburton is available to play tonight when the Indiana Pacers take on the Cavaliers in Cleveland.

Haliburton missed practice on Friday due to a stomach bug and was originally listed as questionable for the game. "He has a stomach ailment that we hope is not going to keep him out of the game tomorrow. But we'll see," Indiana head coach Rick Carlisle said Friday. "Other than that, I think we're doing okay," he added of the rest of his team.

Haliburton was the only Pacers player listed with any injury for the game in Cleveland. Everyone else is either good to go or on a two-way deal.

Carlisle confirmed Saturday that his star player is good to go. "I believe so," Carlisle said during his pregame media availability when asked if Haliburton would be available. He noted that Haliburton is feeling better than he was the previous day.

The Pacers officially announced that Haliburton is available about a half hour later. His stomach issue was listed as a "non-COVID illness."

Indiana went 28-28 last season when Haliburton suited up. He is a crucial player to the team's success, and Cleveland is without multiple All-Stars tonight. Indiana has a great opportunity to start 2-0.

The game tips off just after 7:30 p.m. Eastern Time. More on the action can be found here.
