Zion Williamson, Gatorade Collaborate On Exclusive Smart Bottle

Zion Williamson continues to flex his marketing power after teaming up with Gatorade on a unique smart bottle.

NEW ORLEANS - New Orleans Pelicans star Zion Williamson continues as a marketing force off the basketball court in his latest partnership with Gatorade. Zion and Gatorade collaborated on the limited edition, customized Gatorade Smart Gx bottle. The bottle will be the first athlete-designed smart bottle in the category.

Other prominent athletes, including Serena Williams, Jayson Tatum, and Trevor Lawrence, have previously designed their Gx collaboration bottles. Zion's smart bottle allows athletes to take the guesswork out of their hydration by measuring their intake efficiently and accurately. It will enable you to hit personalized hydration goals linked to the Gx app.

The bottle's design highlights Zion's self-expression beyond the basketball court by revealing the passions that fuel him and how he overcomes obstacles in working toward his goals.

Zion Williamson

Zion Williamson's personal touches are present throughout the bottle's design. His "Let's Dance" mantra is there, which he made famous on NBA Draft Night in 2019. The purple and black color scheme represents his favorite colors. Specifically, the linear purple lines symbolize the beginning of his journey, whereas the pattern of upward arrows and lines represents his drive to push through adversity and keep moving forward.

The bottle is 30 ounces and comes with a flip-lid custom cap design compatible with Gatorade's Gx-flavored concentrate pods. Only 2,500 bottles were produced by Gatorade, which will retail for $59.99.

Lately, Williamson's powerful branding has been displayed as he co-led the PepsiCo Starry drink campaign, the official drink of the NBA. The advertisements ran during the NBA Finals. Zion was featured on the cover of Slam Kicks 26 magazine, where he gives an exclusive look at his new Zion 3 shoes.
