New Orleans will be without a key bench player versus Milwaukee

New Orleans, LA - The New Orleans Pelicans (44-28) need a win to keep pace in the crowded Western Conference. They host the Milwaukee Bucks (46-26) Thursday night at the Smoothie King Center.

Zion Williamson is a full-go on Thursday and this will mark the most games he's played in his career for a season, 62 games. The news isn't as good for Pelicans backup guard Jose Alvarado, who is listed out with a right oblique strain. Alvarado suffered the injury late in the game Tuesday night against the Oklahoma City Thunder.

Brandon Ingram remains out with a hyperextended knee injury. He will be re-evaluated in another week. Dyson Daniels is close to making his return to the Pelicans. The team recalled him up on Thursday after a solid performance for the G League Birmingham Squadrons on Wednesday night.

Milwaukee will be at full strength for the big matchup. Giannis is listed as probable to play, even with a lingering hamstring issue. Backup guard Patrick Beverly has been upgraded to probable with a wrist injury. The Bucks are currently ranked No. 2 in Eastern Confrence standings heading into the playoffs that start net month.
