Orlando scored 22 of their 34 points in the paint and outrebounded the Pelicans 23-17. Zion was held to just three points in the quarter, but the Pelicans bench finally contributed. Naji Marshall scored eight first-half points to boost a bench that has struggled lately. During this current home stand, the Pels bench averaged 17 points a game. Orlando led 58-55 at halftime.

Orlando's Paolo Banchero and Franz Wagner combined to outscore New Orleans themselves, while the Magic shot over 70% from the field.

New Orleans mounted a comeback late in the fourth quarter that fell short after the Pelicans lost their composure down the stretch.
