As the New Orleans Pelicans gear up to face the Minnesota Timberwolves, Zion Williamson awaits the arrival of his first child. TMZ reported that Zion's girlfriend, Ahkeema, posted a since-deleted photo taken at a hospital. The post fueled speculation before the Pelicans officially listed Williamson as "out" of the T-Wolves game because of "personal reasons."
Williamson and Ahkeema announced in June the impending birth of their baby girl via a YouTube video.
New Orleans will play tonight's NBA game in Minneapolis without Zion Williamson, who has averaged 21.8 points, seven rebounds, and 4.7 assists in the first six games of the 2023-24 regular season.
