The Toronto Raptors will begin Summer League next month with a play-in tournament rematch against the Chicago Bulls.

July 7 will be Toronto’s first look at first-round pick Gradey Dick who is expected to play for the Raptors in the 2023 Summer League in Las Vegas. The Raptors will tip off at 6:30 p.m. ET against Chicago.

Game 2 will come on Sunday against the Cleveland Cavaliers at 3:30 p.m. ET. Followed by a game Wednesday evening at 6 p.m. ET against the Detroit Pistons led by the No. 5 pick Ausar Thompson. The final game of the initial tournament will come Thursday at 5 p.m. ET against the Brooklyn Nets who added Noah Clowney and Dariq Whitehead in the first round.

The top four teams following the initial games will compete in a do-or-die playoff to crown the Summer League champion.

Toronto has yet to announce its Summer League team for this year but Dick and undrafted rookie Markquis Nowell are both expected to play. The Raptors have also reportedly signed D.J. Hogg to a Summer League deal, per Olgun Uluc. Hogg most recently played for the Sydney Kings in the Australian’s National Basketball League.

With the addition of a third two-way spot to NBA rosters this year, there will be increased scrutiny on Summer League standouts who have an increased shot to make NBA teams this year.
