A Pascal Siakam trade appears to be looming.

The Toronto Raptors continue to engage in trade talks involving the All-Star forward and it's now believed that he's more likely to be traded than extended, according to Substack's Marc Stein

"It has nonetheless become clearer since I landed — on a matter that I had been struggling to get a firm read on from afar — that the Raptors are indeed far more prepared to surrender Siakam than initially realized," Stein wrote Monday.

Siakam is in the final year of his contract and can sign a four-year extension with Toronto this summer. The Raptors, however, have not engaged in extension talks yet, per Sportsnet's Michael Grange, and instead appear to be seriously considering moving the 29-year-old.

The Atlanta Hawks and Indiana Pacers are the two teams that have so far been identified as potential landing spots for Siakam, per Grange and Stein. There are believed to be other suitors who have yet to be named.

Siakam's camp has previously made it known he'd prefer to stay with the Raptors and would be reluctant to sign an extension with any team that trades for him, per Bleacher Report's Chris Haynes.

Siakam would not be eligible to be traded for six months if he signs a max contract extension with Toronto this summer.
