The Houston Rockets appear to have their eyes set on the Toronto Raptors as they begin the process of finding their next head coach.

Not only has Raptors head coach Nick Nurse's name been repeatedly linked to Houston, but the Rockets have reportedly scheduled an interview with Raptors assistant coach Adrian Griffin, according to The Athletic's Shams Charania.

Griffin is also believed to be a potential coaching candidate in Detroit where the Pistons opted to move former head coach Dwane Casey into the front office.

"I think Adrian is right there on the cusp of becoming a head coach in this league," Raptors president and vice chairman Masai Ujiri said last year during his season-ending media availability. "Nick has done a great job developing these guys and we encourage it as much as we can."

As for Nurse, the Raptors' frontman has one year remaining on his contract but has publicly stated he'd like to take some time this summer to consider his future with the organization following four seasons as the team's head coach and 10 seasons in the organization.

Former Celtics head coach Ime Udoka is also a candidate for the coaching job in Houston, per Charania. His name has been linked to Toronto as well should Nurse and the Raptors part ways at the end of the season, as Doug Smith reported
