Nick Nurse's tenure with the Toronto Raptors appears to be nearing an end.

The whispers of Nurse's impending departure this summer, first reported by Doug Smith of the Toronto Star, grew louder following his comments in Philadelphia about needing time following the season to reflect on his future with the team. Considering the unprompted nature of comments, Nurse's words felt intentional, a chance to get ahead of the story before a parting of ways following Toronto's eventual exit from the post-season.

“I think when this season gets done, we’ll evaluate everything, and even personally I’m gonna take a few weeks to see where I’m at, where my head’s at, to see how the relationship with the organization is and everything. It’s been 10 years for me now. Which is a pretty good run," Nurse said.

When the reporter followed up, Nurse doubled down.

“No, I think I'm concentrated on this job, for sure, and this game," Nurse said. "But I think that 10 years is a good time to sit back and reflect a little bit. I think we're going to do that all when the season ends."

Now it seems like change is imminent. One sportsbook even listed Nurse as an underdog to coach the Raptors next season at -255, implying nearly a 72% chance Toronto does part ways with its head coach, according to Bodog.

The talk surrounding Nurse should quiet down for a few days as the season wraps up. He quickly shot down a reporter who followed up on the question on Sunday, insisting he didn't want to talk about the topic any further. But come summertime, both he and the Raptors are going to have some questions to answer.
