Pascal Siakam wants to remain a Toronto Raptors.

The former All-NBA forward appears to be telling teams he will not re-sign should he be traded this summer as he prefers to remain in Toronto, according to Bleacher Report’s Chris Haynes. Siakam has one year left on his contract and there’s reportedly a “growing sentiment” he will not ink a long-term deal if he’s moved.

The Atlanta Hawks had been the team most closely tied to trade talks involving Siakam and have reportedly been willing to move anyone except Trae Young, according to Jake Fischer of Yahoo. A three-team deal had reportedly been discussed by the Hawks involving Siakam but it’s unclear who the third team involved in the trade would have been.

Siakam is eligible to sign a four-year contract with Toronto this summer up to the max of 30% of the salary cap with 8% raises. The size of that contract would depend on the salary cap in 2024 but would be close to $200 million or roughly $48 million per season.

Should Siakam make an All-NBA team next season, he would be eligible for a super-max deal worth 35% of the salary cap. That would be a five-year deal worth slightly less than $300 million or roughly $58 million per season.

Siakam is set to earn $37.9 million next season.
