Smoke continues to billow from NBA Summer League with teams speculating about the future of Pascal Siakam.

So far, the teams most connected to the Toronto Raptors All-NBA forward are the Atlanta Hawks, Indiana Pacers, and Orlando Magic but suddenly the Oklahoma City and Philadelphia 76ers have emerged as potential suitors, per Matt Moore of the Action Network.

The sense at Summer League, Moore writes, is the league has grown tired of Toronto being the center of trade speculation. The Raptors were thought to be potential sellers at the trade deadline last season before opting to add Jakob Poeltl without selling off any key players.

That said, there has been plenty of reporting from Sportsnet’s Michael Grange and Substack’s Marc Stein suggesting Siakam is likely to be moved before the season starts. Stein wrote Siakam is more likely to be traded than offered an extension this summer.

It’s unclear what the Thunder or 76ers would be willing to part with in a deal, though Moore notes there have been talks about a multi-team trade. Assuming Shai Gilgeous-Alexander is off-limits in trade talks, Oklahoma City would likely have to move Davis Bertans and Lu Dort to match Siakam’s salary. The 76ers’ biggest salaries include Tobias Harris and James Harden but it’s unlikely Toronto would be interested in either veteran player at this point.
