O.G. Anunoby is making progress as he works his way back from a left wrist sprain but he's not out of the woods quite yet.

The Toronto Raptors will remain without Anunoby on Wednesday night when they take on the San Antonio Spurs in the team's final game before Thursday's trade deadline.

Anunoby did some on-court work during practice, Raptors coach Nick Nurse said Tuesday. He is "progressing well," but has yet to be cleared for contact or full team drills.

It's possible the 25-year-old has played his final game for the Raptors following the injury he sustained against the Golden State Warriors in late January. He fell awkwardly on his left arm and was subsequently ruled out for the remainder of Toronto's West Coast road trip.

X-rays on the wrist came back negative and the injury is not believed to be too serious. It's possible Toronto is being extra cautious with Anunoby who is among the team's most likely players to be dealt ahead of the deadline.

There's no exact timeline for Anunoby's return but Toronto will host the Utah Jazz on Friday should Anunoby remain with the team following the deadline.

Anunoby is averaging 16.9 points, 5.5 rebounds, and 2.1 steals per game this season while shooting 45.7% from the floor and 36.6% from three-point range.
