Knicks Return to Toronto Marred by Injuries: Where to Watch, Injury Reports, and More

OG Anunoby's injury will mar his return to Toronto as the Raptors play host to the New York Knicks on Wednesday: Where to Watch, Injury Reports, and More

OG Anunoby's return to Toronto is going to have to wait.

The former Toronto Raptors forward has been ruled out by the New York Knicks ahead of Wednesday night's 7:30 p.m. ET tipoff at Scotiabank Arena.

Where to Watch

TSN and TSN 1050 will broadcast for Toronto. MSG and ESPN 98.7 will call the game for New York.

What to Watch For

  • The upcoming return of RJ Barrett and Immanuel Quickley at some point soon is going to reshape Toronto's roster, but Wednesday should provide another opportunity for some of the team's back-of-the-bench players to get an extended look. There hasn't been much to be excited about, but these are important opporunities for players to prove themselves heading into the offseason.
  • Gary Trent Jr. has been Toronto's most explosive offensive player over this stretch, averaging 19.1 points per game dating back to mid-February. The Raptors will need that kind of scoring from the 25-year-old if they're going to keep it close with the Knicks on Wednesday.
  • Toronto is going to be without Jontay Porter and Jakob Poeltl for the foreseeable future and that essentially means the Raptors will be without a backup big man going forward. The 6-foot-5 Garrett Temple has been tasked with taking over that backup center spot and will probably have to do so for the rest of the year.
  • It'll be a return to Toronto for Precious Achiuwa who seems to have found a niche for himself in New York. He's contributing on both ends of the court and playing the kind of minutes the Raptors had hoped they'd get from him this year.

Injury Reports

The Raptors will be without Scottie Barnes, Poeltl, Chris Boucher, Barrett, Quickley, Porter, and DJ Carton.

New York has ruled out Anunoby, Julius Randle, and Mitchell Robinson. Alec Burks is questionable to play.

Game Odds

The Raptors will be +13.5 point underdogs with an implied win probability of 12.5%. The total for the game is 211.5.
