Injury Report: Raptors List Crucial Starter as Questionable vs Wizards

The Toronto Raptors have listed Gary Trent Jr. as questionable to play Sunday against the Washington Wizards

Gary Trent Jr. is suddenly on the injury report again.

The 25-year-old guard returned from back spasms Friday night but has popped up on the injury report for the Toronto Raptors with an illness. He's officially listed as questionable to play Sunday against the Washington Wizards, the team announced.

Bruce Brown Jr. has also been listed as questionable with right knee soreness. He's missed two games with the injury but appears to be heading in the right direction having initially been listed as questionable prior to Friday's game.

Toronto remains without Scottie Barnes, Jakob Poeltl, Chris Boucher, Jontay Porter, and DJ Carton.

The Raptors finally ended their 15-game losing streak against the Milwaukee Bucks on Friday and have a chance to make it two straight victories against the lowly Wizards, owners of the second-worst record in the NBA.

Toronto has essentially locked itself in to the sixth-worst record in the league and Sunday's game shouldn't matter much for lottery odds. That said, a Wizards victory would likely clinch the Detroit Pistons the worst record this season and ensure Toronto has the first pick in the second round. The Raptors acquired the pick in the OG Anunoby trade via the New York Knicks.

The Wizards have yet to share their injury report for Sunday's game. They played Friday without Bilal Coulibaly, Marvin Bagley III, Richaun Holmes, Tyus Jones, Kyle Kuzma, Isaiah Livers, and Landry Shamet.

Toronto will play the Wizards and the Indiana Pacers on Tuesday to wrap up their final homestand of the season.
