Raptors Share Health Update for Gradey Dick

The Toronto Raptors have ruled out Gradey Dick who remains day-to-day with a groin injury

Gradey Dick is going to need a little more time.

The Toronto Raptors have downgraded the rookie guard to out as he continues to battle a right groin contusion he suffered Sunday evening during the fourth quarter of Toronto's victory over the Washington Wizards. He's considered "day-to-day," Raptors coach Darko Rajaković said Tuesday.

It'll be the first game Dick has missed since the All-Star Break, ending his active streak as the player with the most consecutive games played for the Raptors. Dick hadn't missed a game since the middle of January.

Toronto has already ruled out Immanuel Quickley for "rest" before Wednesday's game against the Brooklyn Nets.

The Pacers will be without Canadian guard Bennedict Mathurin who will miss his 16th straight game with a right shoulder injury.

Brooklyn has already shared their injury report for Wednesday and will be without Keita Bates-Diop, Dorian Finney-Smith, Jaylen Martin, Ben Simmons, Dennis Smith Jr., and Dariq Whitehead. Nic Claxton, Cam Johnson, and Jacob Gilyard are all probable to play.

Toronto sits just two games up on the Memphis Grizzlies for the sixth-worst record in the NBA this season and a 45.8% chance to land a top-six pick in the NBA Draft lottery next month. It's unlikely the Grizzlies can catch Toronto, but the Raptors can't afford to win two more games this season without potentially changing their lottery odds.

The Raptors are +13.5 point underdogs against the Pacers with an implied win probability of 15.4%. The total for the game is 239.5.
