How Tough Is Rockets Remaining Schedule?

The final stretch of the season won't be "easy" or "hard" for the Houston Rockets.

The final stretch of the season won't be "easy" or "hard" for the Houston Rockets — at least according to the NBA's calculations.

With six weeks left of the regular season, the Rockets have the 15th toughest remaining schedule in the league. Houston's "average" strength of schedule is measured by cumulative opponent winning percentage, back-to-backs, rest-advantage and home/road games.

The Rockets entered the All-Star break with the league's worst record at 13-45. The youngest and most inexperienced team in the league, the average age of Houston's starting lineup is 21.8 years old.

The good news? Barring a magical run during the final 24 games, the Rockets will be one of four teams in the running for Victor Wembanyama. Scouts and draft analysts view Wembanyama as the league's best prospect since LeBron James in 2003.

Houston opens its final regular season stretch on Friday as 10-point underdogs when they face the Golden State Warriors on the road.

Around the NBA, the Philadelphia 76ers will be tested, with the most difficult remaining schedule in the association. Their post-NBA All-Star break schedule is busy and tough: the Sixers have 15 road games, two more than any other team has left to play

The Dallas Mavericks have the league’s easiest remaining schedule, with 13 of their 22 remaining games against teams with records currently at or below .500. Dallas looks to capitalize on a post-break schedule that starts with the longest home stand of the Mavs' season. The Mavs play six games over 13 days at home.
