Duo of Jayson Tatum and Jaylen Brown Proves Too Much for Rockets as Celtics Dominate at Home

The Houston Rockets had a tough task ahead of them against the Boston Celtics on the road, and the home court advantage of the Celtics proved to be too much.

The Houston Rockets couldn't snap the Boston Celtics' home winning streak, as they ended up losing in TD Garden 145-113. There is no shame in losing to the Celtics in Boston though, as 14 other teams have already met the same fate this season.

The Rockets held their own in the first half, as the score after 24 minutes of play was 69-58 in favor of the Celtics. But the second half was a different story, as Boston really started to show how good their offense is, and just how fast they can score.

The duo of Jayson Tatum and Jaylen Brown has been one of the best in the NBA for years now, and they showed exactly why against the Rockets. Brown stuffed the stat sheet, finishing as the game's leading scorer with 42 points, while also chipping in six rebounds, two steals, and two blocks.

As for Tatum, he finished with 27 points through three quarters. But he wasn't off the court in the fourth quarter as a result of his coach subbing him out, but rather as a result of getting thrown out early in the fourth quarter after arguing with a no-call.

The Rockets still had some solid performances despite the big loss. Cam Whitmore finished as the Rockets' leading scorer with 22 points off the bench shooting 7-13 from the field. Starting center Alperen Şengün also had a solid game, finishing with 19 points, 10 boards, and an absurd four steals in just 24 minutes of play.

The Rockets will be looking to bounce back in their next game on Monday against Joel Embiid and the Philadelphia 76ers. Tipoff is set for noon inside the Wells Fargo Center.
