The Houston Rockets (13-12) will play the second of a four-game regular season series against the Dallas Mavericks (16-11) Friday night. The Rockets will look to end their three-game losing streak amid their final of a two-game homestand.
The Rockets lost to the Atlanta Hawks in their last game with a score of 134-127. The driving force in the win for the Hawks was some great play from Trae Young, as he finished with 30 points and 14 assists.
Houston also had some good individual performances from a couple of its players, with one of them being Fred VanVleet, who scored 32 points and while adding 15 assists. But perhaps the most intriguing was Jabari Smith Jr. scoring a career-high 34 points, while also contributing 13 rebounds and four blocks.
The Rockets would not mind these kinds of performances in their next game, as the team will be looking to avoid the four-game losing streak. The Rockets will be looking to capitalize on one of the frontrunners for MVP being inactive, as Luka Dončić is sitting out of the game due to a left quad strain. As a result, this could be the Rockets' best chance at ending this losing streak.
