The Houston Rockets (20-22) will play the last game of a three-game home stand against the Portland Trail Blazers (12-31) on Wednesday in the Toyota Center. The Rockets will be looking to avoid losing their fifth game over their last six.
The Rockets were able to lose by only single digits to the Boston Celtics in their last game while being without some of their key players. They made it close by riding yet another spectacular performance from Alperen Sengun.
The Turkish big man finished with 24 points, 12 rebounds and 10 assists — which was his first triple double of the season. Rookie Amen Thompson also had a great game, tallying 15 points and an absurd 14 rebounds. If the Rockets can continue to get performances like this, they could get out of this funk they are in sooner rather than later.
The Rockets will be up against a struggling Trail Blazers, who has lost six of their last eight games. This will be a great opportunity for the Rockets to turn it around before they go on the road for their next two games.
