Rockets vs. Clippers Preview: How to Watch, Injury Reports, Lineups, More

The Houston Rockets will try to record their third consecutive victory amid a western conference showdown against James Harden and the Clippers.

HOUSTON — The Houston Rockets will attempt to win their third consecutive game Wednesday night against the Los Angeles Clippers. The Rockets are coming off an impressive 114-101 victory over Victor Wembanyama and the San Antonio Spurs Tuesday night.

Alperen Şengün led the Rockets to victory with his best career performance. He finished with a career-best 45 points on 19 of 32 shooting. He added 16 rebounds in the win, resulting in his 28th double-double of the season.

The third-year Turkish native also had an impressive performance on the defensive end, adding five steals and a block.

"I just played my way and Fred [VanVleet] was looking for me all night," Şengün said. "Usually, other teams are closing our pick-and-rolls. You know Fred and I [have] been great this year in the pick-in-roll. They (San Antonio Spurs) didn't close that much, and he found me [and] he made his shots. So, we did a great job I think."

The game between the Clippers will mark the Rockets' second meeting of the season against their former franchise star, James Harden. The 10-time All-Star joined the Clippers in November after a failed reunion with the Rockets during the off-season.

Harden is averaging 17.6 points, 8.3 assists and 5.1 rebounds on .446/.411/.876 shooting splits. He led the Clippers to their first victory of his tenure in a 106-100 win over the Rockets on Nov. 17. He scored 24 points, nine rebounds and seven assists to lead Los Angeles to a victory inside the Crypto.com Arena.
