Devin Vassell Highlights Major Spurs Problem After Loss vs. Mavericks
The San Antonio Spurs are making adjustments after their 113-107 loss to the Dallas Mavericks on Tuesday night at the Frost Bank Center.
The loss came in large part to the 15 turnovers the Spurs committed compared to the nine from the Mavericks. For San Antonio, it's a problem that's been a pattern all season long.

"That's been our problem for the main part of the season," Spurs guard Devin Vassell said postgame. "Just been turning the ball over. Playing a transition, they (Dallas) have closers with Kyrie (Irving) and Luka. Special players like that, we can't give them more opportunities to put the ball in the basket."
The Spurs commit 15 turnovers per game, good for 26th in the NBA. Only the Memphis Grizzlies, Portland Trail Blazers, Detroit Pistons and Utah Jazz cough up the ball at a higher rate.
It's typical for young teams like the Spurs to not take care of the ball as well as their opponent. That is part of the growing process for the Spurs, even without a true point guard at times.
Part of the growth will be the front office scouting for a guard to help facilitate the offense, but the players on the team have to adapt as well if they want to be part of the Spurs rebuild long-term.
The Spurs are back in action tomorrow against the Memphis Grizzlies at home. Tipoff is scheduled for 7 p.m. CT.
