San Antonio Spurs Make Injury Decision on Jeremy Sochan, Devin Vassell

Jeremy Sochan and Devin Vassell have dealt with some recent injuries for the San Antonio Spurs.

The San Antonio Spurs will be without two of their most important players for the rest of the regular season.

Per NBA insider Shams Charania, the Spurs are ruling out Jeremy Sochan and Devin Vassell for the team's final seven games. San Antonio has already been eliminated from the playoffs for some time, meaning the duo can now get ahead on offseason rehab.

Sochan injured his ankle in the first half of Friday's thrilling overtime win over the New York Knicks. Vassell finished that game with 23 points, but apparently suffered a foot injury at some point during the game, as the Spurs ruled him out ahead of Sunday's loss to the Golden State Warriors.

San Antonio's season has been dominated by the rise of rookie Victor Wembanyama, but Vassell and Sochan have proven to be important pieces for the team to build around for the future. Vassell is averaging 19.5 points, 3.8 rebounds, 4.1 assists and 1.1 steals while Sochan has tallied 11.6 points, 6.4 rebounds and 3.4 assists per night.

Sochan has played in 74 of San Antonio's 75 games this season, which leads the team. However, he and Vassell will now watch from the sideline while Wembanyama looks to add more to what already appears to be a unanimous Rookie of the Year race.

The Spurs (18-57) will visit the defending champion Denver Nuggets on Tuesday at 8 p.m. CT.
