Giannis & Bucks Too Much For Hobbled Spurs

The San Antonio Spurs (19-54) fell to the Milwaukee Bucks (52-20) on the road Wednesday night.

The San Antonio Spurs will have to wait until at least Friday for their first win of this four-game road trip.

Following a blowout loss on Tuesday against the New Orleans Pelicans, the Spurs failed to respond in the second game of this back-to-back.

Facing off against Giannis Antetokounmpo and Milwaukee Bucks, the top team in the Eastern Conference didn't disappoint in front of their home fans - defeating San Antonio 130-94.

While the end result was another double-digit loss on the season for San Antonio, this young team kept things competitive for most of the first half.

After a 29-foot three by center Gorgui Dieng made the score 46-44 with 5:31 left in the second quarter, it looked like San Antonio could make a game on the road.

However, afterwards Milwaukee would put its foot on the gas and never look back.

Ending the half on a 20-7 run, the Bucks rolled into the break with a 66-51 lead.

The Bucks were led by Antetokounmpo, who finished with 31 points on 14 of 23 shooting to go along with 14 rebounds and two assists.

Also making big contributions offensively for Milwaukee was Bobby Portis (19), Khris Middleton (19) and Joe Ingles (14).

For San Antonio, Devin Vassell (16), Keita Bates-Diop (14) and Jeremy Sochan (13), Zach Collins and Sandro Mamukelashvili (12) all cracked double-digits in the score column.

The Spurs are back in action on Friday against the Washington Wizards. Tipoff is scheduled for 7:00p.m.
