Spurs WATCH: Victor Wembanyama Showing Off in 1st Half vs. Blazers

Victor Wembanyama's scoring production in the first half against the Blazers on Sunday came as a result of some impressive dunks and jumpers, as he showed fans why he was the No. 1 overall pick for the San Antonio Spurs.

San Antonio Spurs rookie Victor Wembanyama seems to be catching his stride after struggling in his Vegas Summer League debut on Friday. The Spurs are taking on the Portland Trail Blazers at the Thomas & Mack Center on Sunday, and Wemby is already looking more confident after making some highlight plays in the first half.

The Spurs trailed Portland 43-33 at halftime, but Wembanyama did all he could to keep San Antonio within reach. He finished the first half with 11 points, six rebounds and two blocks after having just nine points in the Summer League opener against the Charlotte Hornets.

Wembanyama's scoring production came as a result of some impressive dunks and jumpers, as he showed fans why he was the No. 1 overall pick.

Take a look:

At one point in the second quarter, he scored nine straight points for the Spurs. But Portland's offense stayed productive, as San Antonio continued to play catch up.

Still, it's only the Summer League. The final score is hardly as important as player development, and Wembanyama has clearly found improvement in a three-day span.

However, the Spurs will look to catch a rhythm in the second half and move to 4-0 in Summer League play after going 2-0 without Wemby at the California Classic.
