Spurs WATCH: Victor Wembanyama Delivers More Highlights in French Playoff Opener

While most top overall picks coming out of college in previous years would be long done with their seasons, potential San Antonio Spurs No. 1 pick Victor Wembanyama and his teammates on Metropolitans 92 are just beginning playoff basketball.

The San Antonio Spurs are experiencing a rare luxury in the 2023 NBA Draft cycle.

Already winners of the ultimate draft lottery sweepstakes by landing the right to select French superstar Victor Wembanyama at No. 1 overall next month, the Spurs now get to watch him in high-level postseason action just a few weeks out from potentially making him the official face of the franchise.

While most top overall picks coming out of college in previous years would be long done with their seasons, Wembanyama and his teammates on Metropolitans 92 are just beginning playoff basketball. He posted 22 points, 10 rebounds and five assists in Sunday's playoff-opening win over Cholet.

Take a look at the highlights:

In typical Wembanyama fashion, he threw down some vicious and effortless two-handed dunks while also doing just about everything else on the floor. He found his groove from mid-range and from behind the arc as well, as defenders were left helpless to try and defend his high release.

But some of Wembanyama's best highlights of the day were the passes he made to baseline cutters, tossing a lob to his fellow frontcourt teammate or the last-second decision he had in the middle of the air to dish it off underneath for a bucket rather than settle for a jumper.

The Spurs will have some fresh looks at Wembanyama before inevitably selecting him at No. 1 overall on Thursday, June 22.
