Former Suns Forward Mikal Bridges Settles Kevin Durant-Luka Doncic Debate

Former Phoenix Sun Mikal Bridges provides input on Kevin Durant vs. Luka Doncic debate

Former Phoenix Suns forward Mikal Bridges had an interesting take regarding a discussion surrounding the talents of Kevin Durant and Luka Doncic.

Bridges chose Doncic over Durant when asked who has the biggest bag - meaning which player has the better set of moves with the basketball:

"The motherf--ker who makes me switch directions every goddamn dribble: Luka," Bridges said on Run Your Race.

It certainly is an interesting debate. Durant uses his 7’5’’ wingspan to his advantage as he has the ability to shoot from anywhere on the court while being nearly impossible to guard.

Doncic plays a slower, more methodical type of game but his basketball IQ on top of his ability to draw contact and get to the line makes him one of the most elite offensive players in the game today.

Both Durant and Doncic are offensive juggernauts, arguably the two most unstoppable players in the NBA. However it's hard to compare the two of them. They play different positions and have two completely different styles.

This past season, Durant averaged 29.1 points, 6.7 rebounds and five assists while Doncic averaged 32.4 points, 8.6 rebounds and eight assists.

Head to head, Doncic has a 6-4 record over Durant. In those ten games, Doncic is averaging 29.2 points eight rebounds and 7.4 four assists compared to Durant’s 28.1 points, 6.4 rebounds and 4.8 assists.

With Durant now in the Western Conference, he will certainly play a lot more games against Doncic in the future, so basketball fans will be able to watch offensive greatness head-to-head for many years to come.
