Phoenix Suns Continue Drop Down NBA Power Rankings

The Phoenix Suns are riding the struggle bus, and that's reflected in their recent placement in NBA power rankings.

The Phoenix Suns hope to get back on track after a week where they struggled more so than they would have liked.

Last week featured a three-game losing streak for Monty Williams and company, something unseen in the prior two months of play.

Kevin Durant is still out, and Devin Booker needs another scoring presence to step up in Durant's absence.

Phoenix finds themselves as the No. 4 seed in the West, just 0.5 game ahead of the Los Angeles Clippers and 5.5 games back from the No. 3 Memphis Grizzlies

With just 11 games left in the regular season, the Suns find themselves slipping down NBA power rankings:

The Athletic: No. 9 (Down Two Spots)

Zach Harper: "Last two seasons, we’ve seen Devin Booker and Chris Paul execute some incredible clutch performances. They have dominated those scenarios. This season? Maybe it’s CP3 starting out hurt or Booker missing so much time, but the Suns have been highly mediocre in the clutch. That changes with them healthy and it certainly changes with a healthy Kevin Durant. But he hasn’t been here for much yet."

CBS Sports: No. 11 (Down Two Spots)

Colin Ward-Henninger: "The Suns beat the Magic on Thursday, but that was their only win of the week with losses to the Warriors, Bucks and Thunder. Devin Booker carried the offense as Kevin Durant continues his rehab, averaging 32 points in the four games on 54 percent shooting."

The Suns hope to get back on track when they play the Los Angeles Lakers this Wednesday.
