Where Pending Suns Free Agents Fall in NBA Rankings

Where do the Phoenix Suns' free agents rank amongst the rest of the players expected to hit the open market?

Free agency season is almost upon us, and the Phoenix Suns have some notable names.

HoopsHype’s Frank Urbina ranked all of the top free agents that will hit the open market this summer, and 10 Suns players were on that list.

Torrey Craig ranked highest out of all Phoenix players at 48th followed by Josh Okogie at 59th, Terrence Ross at 64th, Damoin Lee at 67th, T.J. Warren at 73rd, Jock Landale at 80th, Bismack Biyombo at 83rd, Darius Bazley at 103rd, Ish Wainright at 111th and Saben Lee at 156th.

Down the stretch of the regular season and into the playoffs, the Suns struggled with depth scoring and losing all these role players during the offseason won’t make matters any better.

Phoenix should attempt to keep Craig who despite not putting up the most flashy numbers on the stat sheet, always stepped up on the defensive end when the team needed him most. This past season Craig averaged 7.4 points, 5.4 rebounds and 1.5 assists.

Okogie is another player that the Suns must attempt to re-sign. Towards the end of the year Okogie became a routine starter adding a much needed offensive spark to the lineup. Okogie averaged 7.3 points, 3.5 rebounds and 1.5 assists.

The top-five free agents on Urbina’s list are James Harden, Kyrie Irving, Fred VanVleet, Kristaps Porzingis and Khris Middleton.

With so many players off the books and a tremendous amount of talent from the free agent market to choose from, the Suns will have some tough decisions to make this summer.
