Jusuf Nurkic's Final Status of Suns vs Nuggets Revealed

Phoenix Suns center Jusuf Nurkic was considered questionable heading into tonight against the Denver Nuggets.

PHOENIX -- The Phoenix Suns will have Jusuf Nurkic available tonight against the Denver Nuggets, as confirmed by Suns coach Frank Vogel prior to tonight's game.

Nurkic was initially questionable with right calf tightness heading into today. Nurkic has previously dealt with injuries such as neck spasms and ankle issues as of late as well.

"I'll warm up and see, but I plan on playing. I'll always choose to play if I can," he told The Arizona Republic's Duane Rankin earlier today.

Nurkic leads Phoenix in games played with 57 to his name, starting every single one. Only he, Grayson Allen and Drew Eubanks are at the 55-matchup threshold.

Nurkic is fresh off a historic rebounding performance against Oklahoma City where he came down with 31 boards, establishing a Suns franchise record and setting a new mark for most rebounds by a player since the 2010-11 season.

"He is a beast on the defensive boards. I think he's the best defensive rebounder in the game," said Vogel said after Sunday.

Devin Booker (ankle sprain), Josh Okogie (lower ab strain), Nassir Little (knee inflammation) and Damion Lee (knee) were all previously ruled out ahead of game time.

Nurkic was the only questionable player for Phoenix.

Suns-Nuggets will tip just past 8:00 PM Arizona Time.
