Deandre Ayton: I'm Ready to Get Back to Work

After re-signing with the Suns, Ayton took to social media to express his gratitude.

Phoenix Suns center Deandre Ayton has officially re-signed with the team.

It took the Suns just minutes to match an offer sheet from the Indiana Pacers on a four-year, $133 million deal after Ayton was a restricted free agent.

Ayton, Phoenix's No. 1 pick in 2018, has emerged into a pivotal player for the Suns behind Chris Paul and Devin Booker.

Although his future was under heavy debate, Ayton now is under contract for four more seasons.

“I’m happy to put free agency behind me and ready to work and compete for a championship with my teammates,” said Ayton in a press release.

“Deandre is a force on both ends of the floor, who has elevated his game every year and will continue to do so,” said general manager James Jones. “DA is so important to what we do and without him we could not have reached our recent levels of success. We are excited to keep Deandre at home in the Valley where he belongs."
