Start Time for Suns-Clippers Game 1 Revealed

The Phoenix Suns-Los Angeles Clippers Game 1 start time was announced.

PHOENIX -- After an up-and-down regular season, the Phoenix Suns managed to finish with the No. 4 seed in the West, ensuring they secured homecourt advantage for at least the first round of the postseason.

Their opponent - a familiar one in the Los Angeles Clippers - finished one spot behind them at No. 5.

The two Pacific division rivals split their season series 2-2, the last battle coming on the final day of the regular season which ensured the two would meet for at least four more games after the Clippers defeated Phoenix to secure their No. 5 spot.

We've known for awhile that Game 1 will take place on Sunday, April 16 - yet an official start time wasn't unveiled, at least until now.

Suns-Clippers will now begin at 5:00 PM PST. The date and time for Game 2 (along with the rest of the series schedule) has yet to be released.

Stars on both teams were missing in their last battle, as the Suns rested starters Chris Paul, Devin Booker, Kevin Durant and Deandre Ayton while the Clippers are still without Paul George.

George - who injured his knee on March 21 - isn't expected to be back until later in the series, if at all.

The Suns are heavy favorites to emerge out of their first-round matchup: All 14 NBA analysts in ESPN's predictions picked Phoenix to emerge past Los Angeles in the opening round of play.

With everybody back and healthy, expectations are through the roof for this Suns team. We'll see if they can make the most of their talent.
