Suns Timeline for Devin Booker's Injury Revealed

The Phoenix Suns will be without Devin Booker for the next few games.

PHOENIX -- We now have an updated timetable on Phoenix Suns guard Devin Booker's injury thanks to NBA insider Shams Charania.

"The Suns and Devin Booker are bracing for his right ankle sprain to keep him sidelined for at least the next seven to ten days, sources tell me. Booker suffered the ankle sprain on Saturday and the Suns are 31-19 with him in the lineup this year and just 4-17 without," Charania said.

"Booker is averaging almost 28 points per game over the last two months of the season and the Suns' priority is to get healthy and get right down the stretch of the season."

Booker stepped on the foot of teammate Royce O'Neale on Saturday and sprained his ankle with just 1:15 left in the eventual loss to the Houston Rockets. The Suns also dropped Sunday's game to the Oklahoma City Thunder with Booker ruled out ahead of time.

Suns coach Frank Vogel told reporters after the game x-rays came back negative and the team had hoped to have an update on Booker at some point early this week.

Phoenix has a considerably tough stretch ahead, which includes matchups against the Boston Celtics, Denver Nuggets, Toronto Raptors and Cleveland Cavaliers in the coming future.

The Suns have the highest strength of schedule remaining in the NBA. Phoenix's loss last night saw them drop from the No. 5 to 7 seed in the Western Conference Standings.
